Re-editing Some Older Shoots

  Something I should have done long ago, is sort all my hard drive photos so that I could easily find older shoots.  I didn't before, but I have now (mostly at least). Although I still have newer shoots I'm working on I am going to make an effort to go through some older stuff and re-edit or in some cases edit some photos I didn't before. 

  While sorting out older photos, I came to the conclusion that although there are a lot of photos on my hard drive, there aren't nearly enough. I will gladly eat the cost of multiple terabyte hard drives so I can shoot more, as much as I possibly can really.

  I won't deluge readers with everything I decide to open up and edit, but I will be posting some select images from time to time. I like this one, I can't put my finger on it, but it has a bit of moodiness and mystery to me. Props to the amazing and gorgeous Angela for modelling, styling, makeup, hair and presence.

Fawn Photo Shoot

  On a day off from my regular day job, my friend and fellow photographer Angela, collaborated on this afternoon photo shoot.  Though knowing full well that this daisy field was on private property, we risked a ninja style entry.  After some time, an SUV came barreling off road into the meadow where an angry looking middle aged man sternly informed of our trespassing. Busted!  He, along with his ego, then proceeded to give us a lesson about who he was and his fame and prominence as a local portrait photographer.  I calmly explained to him that we knew it was private property and knew of the possibility that we might be ejected, but didn't know with whom to clear permission with, and apologized for our misactions, apparently diffusing the situation (I'm sure the cute damsel in costume helped).  After giving him my information in the form of a glossy business card, he then exchanged his information by way of scrawling his name and phone number on the back of a receipt, and told me to Google him (he explained that despite the fact he had personally paved the way for all local photographers in this area, his name might be on page two or three of the search results).  He went on to curtly, albeit fairly courteously, tell us that we would be permitted to finish the shoot but to ask permission in the future. Whew! We shot a handful more pictures, but decided it would be prudent to move along in a swift manor. 

  We continued later shooting pictures just down the road on a popular public walking trail near the ocean, where the scenery was almost as suitable and beautiful in its own right, until the light became uncooperative and cold beers sounded like a fantastic way wrap things up.  It was, after all, enough excitement for the day.
