Thirty Day Drawing Challenge - Day 9
Well, nine out of thirty, I'm still keeping up. Today's challenge was to draw what music sounds like. I tried to avoid seeing what others had drawn today so I could keep my concept without tainting it by the influence of the other artists, since it was a bit abstract. I mostly managed to do so, although starting earlier in the day would have helped out. I could have fleshed out this idea a little better, but it's all for practice and I'm trying to keep the time spent within an hour or so.
Although I'm still rusty, I do feel the oxidization begin to crumble a slight bit. That encourages me to keep on and hopefully finish. I didn't post the last couple days here, but if you want to see them, check out the links below, they are in there somewhere (I swear).

Thirty Day Drawing Challenge - Day 5
Day five's theme is "Your Biggest Adventure". I don't think I've had mine yet. I really enjoy drawing loose like this, its not something I often do. This challenge has already been helpful for getting out of a creative slump. I have been using a camera so much lately to the detriment of picking up a brush, pencil or stylus.
I created this using Sketchbook app on the Mac, and a Wacom tablet with a few tweaks in Lightroom after.

Daily Drawing Challenge - Day: 4
I've decided to take up a thirty day daily drawing challenge put on by the Comox Valley Arts Council. Although it is day 4 and I have been doing it every day so far, this is the first I've posted here. The theme for today's challenge is "Fictional fish in an aquarium". I don't promise to complete the entire thirty days ( I tried last year and managed to only make it to day 6 or something) but I am definitely out of practice with drawing, and feel I need this exercise sorely. I'll probably post a bunch of these along the way, so keep returning to visit and check out my progress.
